Hiking Metal Punks

Untitled

One of the great perks about the Northwest is that there are millions of beautiful hiking trails. Last Sunday I went out for a hike near North Bend. The first plan was to go to Mount Si, but there were so many people that there was not parking space left. So we went up an older road until we got to a closed logging road and went up there. The hike was great and there were almost no people, which made it even more fun. I really hate it when you are hiking, busy being at one with nature, and then you see a bright red technical parka somewhere in the distance. Fucking spoils it all.

It was also pushing the limits of the camera in my iPod — I’m a little bummed that the photos didn’t come out crisper and with more detail, because they barely do justice to how great and vibrant the vegetation looked. It’s really time to get a new camera…
