Like I wrote earlier, we ended up with a whole bunch of habanero peppers and they are just too hot to use in cooking. So friends of ours suggested making hot sauce. The recipe they gave us is pretty straightforward:
- Cover the peppers with 1 part water & 1 part vinegar
- Chop some carrots
- Sauté an onion (I forgot to do that. I did add some garlic though.)
- Cook for about 30 minutes
- Blend the ingredients, and done. I didn’t use all of the liquid, because I didn’t want to to be too watery. But I guess you can to whatever you want.
And this sauce is fucking HOT alright! I haven’t tested it, yet, but I hope it’s not beyond enjoyable.
