Here’s a little update on the gardening situation*: apparently, the squirrels that have gnawed on the hyacinth are peeing into our planter. Since we put it out, every morning we find holes made by tiny paws and last morning my wife walked in on a squirrel peeing into it.
I mean, we’ve barely started to do the ‘green thing’ and right away nature throws a little poop (or more precisely, pee) our way. So now I wonder: but some wire mesh over the planter until it sprouts (they are not even edibles, just flowers to look at)? Take it inside until it sprouts?
*DISCLAIMER: I’m not actually at home right this week, which I’m spending deep in tick country (i.e. the quaint part of New England), so I’m getting these dispatches from The Wife.
