Longer trips as in: driving coast to coast.

Well, that’s a bummer. So no cross-country trip this time, I think.

Meh.

So it’s the airplane again, I guess.

Years after I last ate pork skins out of a bag in a car somewhere in Arizona I decided tonight to go ahead and order fried pork skins at a local bar. They were not what I expected.

First of all they weren’t crunchy. Really, the last thing you (or at least I) want in a pork skin is the chewy texture of actual skin.

Secondly, who smothers pork skins in chicken wing sauce? Even if they were crispy five minutes ago, they’re now gooey and gross.

So, this experiment didn’t go well.

I expected something better when I ordered “a round of pork skins” for my very skeptical and subsequently disgusted table.
